Festival of Joy 2024: Accessible Live Subtitling at Vienna Heldenplatz
On May 8, 2024, tens of thousands gathered at Vienna’s Heldenplatz for the annual Festival of Joy (Fest der Freude), organized by the Mauthausen Committee Austria to mark the anniversary of the liberation from National Socialist tyranny.
To ensure that commemorative speeches by Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, Holocaust survivors, and political dignitaries were completely accessible, Sprachpilot provided professional real-time speech-to-text interpreting and live subtitles directly on the giant outdoor LED screens.
